Below is a link to the NCAA’s 2017 Form 990 with 990 Reports back to 2001. There is a lot of interesting information in the Form 990 which those who have a better grasp of number than myself may enjoy viewing.

https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/440567264

For tax year 2017 the NCAA claimed Total Revenue of $1,062,709,385 with Total Functional Expenses of $942,367,268. Schedule “J” includes the salaries of the NCAA let personnel.

Several years ago I recall reading a linked article on this site which identified a long list of former coaches and athletic directors who were allegedly drawing six figure consulting salaries, fees from the NCAA for committee membership/ consulting which the article implied was a featherbedded old boys culture that was financed through the sweat and efforts of “student athletes”. I have been unable to find updated information regarding pay/ stipend by the NCAA for consulting and committee membership but would be pleased if anyone has information regarding the alleged featherbedding.

Oh, and by the way my dislike of the NCAA predates the injustice to Mr. Dunn.

Otis, absolutely no disrespect intended, but “featherbedding”? They are thieves, nothing less, cloaked in a guise of respectability. They are not alone by any means, as I posted elsewhere, they could not exist without the support of university presidents, ADs, and coaches, sneaker companies and media outlets, not to mention politicians. And sadly, people like us, who love the games but wind up being enablers to these lowlifes.

The NCAA is like the Mafia, all made members and associates need to kick up to the Boss (the NCAA) for protection but only the Made guys (Blue bloods) are untouchable, the rest are expendable. Just my comparison of this corrupt organization. Maybe the Feds can use the RICO statute here!
