Why don't you rename this thread "I hate Doris Burke' instead of NBA finals?
 
 Lebron was not only the best player on the floor, but really demonstrated he is the team leader, something that cant be measured in stats, but translates to wins.

Whatever you want to use my point what NBA Finals I expected to hear something about the series. Not Doris Burke.

Your not the only one. People either seem to like her work or not. And I'll leave it at that. 
 
 At the risk of sounding extremely chauvinistic I cannot stand when she does play by play especially when she talks like she's "one of the guys." Otherwise she's not bad as a sideline reporter.
 
I hate say this but its Friday and I'm in a pissy mood but I'm willing to bet if Doris Burke looked like Erin Andrews most people would not care. Sad but as much as people want to deny it, pretty sure its true. 
 
Len Elmore knows the game! He does alot of the U of A games in Tucson. Not sure why ABC went with Doris Burke though; what's her story?
 
 She's a former Providence basketball player and New England Basketball Hall of Fame member and I think she does just fine. Better than most of the yahoos on ESPN/ABC. Agree with Moose, if she was hot and didn't seem like she might be gay to boot she might, just might, be acceptbable to the average sports fan. Interesting discussion to have on the week ESPN celebrates 40 years of Title IX.

I was "on" Erin Andrews the minute I saw her. Anyone see the recent picture of her rockin a bikini? Hope this post ain't too sexist. Ah WTH cares? :)

She would be more bearable but I genuinely don't enjoy her commentary. She never stops talking.
 
 Yes LeBron won his ring but it's just not the same. The Heat avoided the Bulls because Rose went down, Granger went down for Indy, the Celtics are very old and beatable, etc. I understand a ring is a ring, but it just feels different this time around. LeBron made a huge mistake airing "The Decision" and the fact that he fled Cleveland as the only show in town to Miami where he would be the 3rd superstar really tells a lot about him and it's a major turn off to many NBA fans. You are basically saying "I'm not patient or confident enough to lead Cleveland to a ring, so I'll go to Miami and have the pressure taken off me with 2 other superstars". Not to mention, in doing so, he left his HOMETOWN! Nothing is more disrespectful than that. Yes technically he's from Akron but I think it's only 40 miles from Cleveland which is right around the corner and technically still the area he's from. Sorry if I sound like a hater, but the Heat winning a ring really seems manufactured and artificial. It was done via fantasy draft essentially.
 
 I agree with everything you are saying, Joe. But if he had come to the Knicks and did the exact same thing, I would be a hypocrite and take the opposite view.
 
 If he came to the Knicks though, he would be THE man. Amare is a shell of what he once was, and we wouldn't have gotten Melo if we got LeBron so it would have probably been LeBron and Amare with Gallinari, Fields, etc. so basically even if we got LeBron we would not be a fantasy draft team...he would be head and shoulders the best player. On Miami they have 3 guys in LeBron, Wade, and Bosh ALL in their primes at the same time. New York is not a super team the way Miami is. We had some has beens and some decent pieces, but not 3 legitimate break the game open type guys. Have you ever played a video game for basketball and just made a dream team and won the championship? It's awesome at first, but it gets old. It kind of takes the fun out of building a team from the ground up and having some unsung heroes step up. I mean seriously the Heat have the US Olympic team...everyone else has 1 superstar or 1 superstar and a few decent players. I think superteams should be prevented by Stern and you can only sign one type A player every so often. LeBron and the Heat ruined the NBA.
