NBA Draft 2015

We have a lot of talent on this team, so who does everyone think will be playing in the NBA (or another place like Europe) this time next year?

My thoughts:
Sir Dom has a chance to be drafted in the second round. He has improved dramatically.
Jordan has also improved a lot and playing with consistency the last few weeks. He may also have shot at second round. I think if he can come back next year and improve his game with consistency he will be a first round pick no doubt.
Harrison's injuries have held him back, so I'm not sure if he'll be drafted. But he'll find his way onto a squad (like Sampson) or play in Europe.
CO hasn't lived up to his potential due to injuries. If he declares I think he'll find his way onto a squad but won't be drafted. If he comes back next year and improves his game (without injuries holding him back) I see no reason he wouldn't be drafted.
Branch played really well vs. Georgetown and could be a pro somewhere overseas.
Greene has improved and found his specialty. Could also be a pro overseas.

I'm far from an expert on this topic so would like to hear from other people. Thoughts?

Im not sure theres a player drafted from the Big East this year.

That said, I think Dom has a chance to make it onto an NBA summer team roster and earn an invite to camp.

One thing about Lavin, through whatever connections he has, hes been able to get his former players numerous tryouts and summer league roster spots. I dont think thats just coincdence, he deserves credit for that. Under a different coach I dont know that guys like Paris Horne or Jakarr wouldve had as many oppertunities to impress coaches and scouts.

Dunn will definitely be drafted next year if he declares. Not sure about rest of BE.

Good point about the players getting a lot of tryouts.

Absolutely. I think Dunn is a better version of Shumpert. More of a playmaker and pg, slightly less of a shooter at this point. But he'll keep developing I think.
Also, Whitehead gets drafted next year imo.

There aren't any players on our roster that would make an impact in the nba. Harkless is the best of the Lavin era players and he's barely playing. Dom's improvement has been fun to watch, but he's nba guard size with no handle and no consistent jump shot. Obekpa's got no offense and very poor defensive positioning

If I was an NBA GM, I'd definitely draft Dunn. He's had such a great season for them. I am happy for him and the Providence fans that he finally stayed healthy.

I'd draft Henton late...probably take a chance on CO if he came out early (with a very late 2nd rounder). I'd sign Dom and stash him in D-League if he couldn't make the roster right away because of his defensive ability--which I think will be better on-the-ball than he was in college.

I wouldn't draft Jordan this year, but would extend a camp invite and hold D-League spot for him.

My opinion is we don't have one player that would make the final cut on an NBA team this year. Jakarr was unique because of his size and quickness. Harkless shared those attributes. If any of our guys will be satisfied playing in the D league I would be very disappointed and would tell them to pursue a college degree that will pay them more over the years that minimum salary levels in D league scrimmages. Both Chris and Rysheed would benefit tremendously from an additional year.

Every starter on the team will have a change to play professionally if they wish. D'Lo and Dom will be invited to summer leagues if they choose to go or to a top European league.

CO and RJ would be better served to stay, but they certainly will have their opportunities too.

Green will have a place in a 2nd tier league abroad.

Dunn will be a first round pick if and when he declares, likely a top 20.

I think Pointer, Henton, Hilliard and D-lo all have a chance at getting drafted in the Second Round or will be invited to summer leagues. And all will make lots of money playing professionally if they go the overseas route.

Phil G. and Pinkston can play abroad, perhaps in lesser tier leagues (though maybe Pinkston can go a bit higher).

Obekpa and Jordan won't get drafted if they declare. With 2016 looking as it does, would be foolish for both to leave.

I enjoy the heck out of watching CO block shots every game, and the fact that his presence on the court causes teams to think twice about going inside, but I don't see how he is even on the draft radar right now. He needs the next two years to make big strides on all aspects of his game. He could very well follow a path like Mutombo or even Thabeet from UConn who I believe came out after his Junior year. Dunn (to me) is a lock for the second round if he decides to come out. He is very much NBA ready.

I think Obekpa needs to develop his shot and bulk up before he can bang with the big boys. He's got a shot.

And unless he has a growth spurt he is 6ft 8 in. and not 6ft 10 in as the announcers say.
