FWIW I scanned and emailed my hardcopy tix to someone earlier this year, and they printed them and had no problem gaining entry at CA.

Yes I can, and if someone was there they would be saying "There is a game today?". Been that way since at least the 70's when I was a student. I try to avoid having to call them at all costs. (Exception is Melissa who has been very helpful).
