More NIL to contend with

We don't have to contend with that. He's looking to pay one five star player. How many five stars are we in on anyway?

He'll be stealing from teams with better name recognition than us.

It’s a shame the brain trust at St Johns decided to cut ties with Mike Repole whether intentional or not in whatever way it transpired. With such a financial backer as Repole, one can only imagine the potential NIL deals possible for St. John’s athletes. Oh well.

We still got that place (Press something) that gives the free fries if they get 7 steals. They can afford it. If they can afford giving away fries they are rolling in it!

The Kentucky players are doing commercial for stallions on the big Kentucky Stud frams

It is never good to alienate a big-time alum or donor, but with NYC in our backyard, and a huge alumni base, it should not be an issue being able to develop decent NIL ties and benefits. Just sayin'.

What is the real shame is the lousy non giving culture which StJohn’s fans have established through the years of not financially supporting the athletic programs and believing it is someone else’s ((Repole or others) obligation to do so.

Heck, the non giving culture of St John’s fans is evidenced by the fact that you have individuals who visit this site multiple times each day but refuse to contribute one penny to defray Paul’s cost of operating it.

NIL is a real thing and it isn’t going to fade away and will likely hurt St John’s future recruiting efforts (see Brandon Williams, et al).

My sense - perhaps wrong - is that our NIL is in decent shape. Could be better. And results will help that. Not at the level of a blue blood. But also not so prohibitive compared to others.

For example I’ve spoken to Seton Hall and RU fans who complaint their NIL situations aren’t anywhere near as good as what they understand ours to be. Especially my Hall-fan friends. They are blaming Sha’s inability to get recruits so far on that issue.
