Apologies if it has been posted before, but went down a you tube rabbit hole and found this. Not a bad way to kill some time before SB.  What talent in this gym.  And what I would not give to have Werdann on the current team.

Amazing amount of talent in that game. I have it saved on VCR. Recorded it live.

It’s funny how the game has changed.  Anderson was one of the best pg’s in the country and a long time NBA star.  Watching him dribble the basketball without carrying the ball almost looks strange compared to how they play today.  Basketball today is all about putting on a show.  The stuff they allow offensive players get away with today makes it hard to play defense.  It’s almost unfair.   It’s easy to break someone’s ankles on a move when you’re allowed to carry the ball.  I don’t know if it’s just me but that kid from Georgetown, Harris, blatantly carries the ball and never gets called for it.  He’s even double dribbled against us with no one near him and it wasn’t called. Imagine how good the old NBA stars would be under today’s rules.

An amazing era - one that today's CHSAA doesn't come close to topping.
You had 5 McDonald's AA on that court of which 4 we're NBA draft picks.
Malik and Kenny would be AP AA. Red Autry would be first team all BE. Reese would be a starter on a national championship team.
Over at CTK you had Derrick Phelps and Khalid Reeves.
At Hayes you had Jamal Mashburn.
And you also had really good players like Shawnelle Scott, David Cain, Conrad McRae, Rob Phelps, Sherwin Content, Carl Beckett, Jerry McCulloch, Norman Marbury, Jamal Faulkner, Terrance Rencher, Orlando Antigua, Eric Mobley playing CHSAA or psal and across the river at St Anthony's: Bobby Hurley, Terry Dehere, Jerry Walker.

Roshown McLeod and St. Anthony's vs Dunbar in 1992.
A lot of talent here including Roderick Rhodes who went to Kentucky, Jalil Roberts to Wisconsin, and Michael Lloyd to Syracuse, Donta Bright to Cal at UMass and Keith Booth to Maryland.
