Mike Jarvis Sr. is now 80 years old and just got back into coaching at South Florida Bible College, a first-year program down in the Sunshine State. It was great to catch up with the former SJU boss, who's sharper than ever and whose love for the game and sports has not waned one bit. I'm blessed to have connected with Coach Jarvis thanks to my affable co-host, Mike Jarvis II. I hope you all enjoy watching this episode!

Mike gets alot of hate on here, IMHO Norm did more to hurt the program, heck so did Kevin Clark, Mike was a solid in game coach, terrible recruiter at the end but i wish him well, the only thing he should have done better was suspend and or discipline Grady Reynolds.

Tne situation got toxic with the great Fr Harrington. end of the day we went to an elite 8 and won a BET under his watch.Deuce look healthy.

And you don't see the connection between his predecessor and the hiring of Norm? You've been around long enough to know what the history is there. If you think Norm was a bad hire, then the responsibility for that is directly traceable to He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Once again I cite Francesa's comment that Jarvis intentionally skipped the President's dinner in order to get himself fired before coaching a losing team.

1 million likes. He was a stain that rode the Riverside church guys as long as he could with as little effort as possible. Once they were gone he was toast but he didn't notice because he was at the track.

The bad hire is the responsibiliy of Fr Harrington and the crack committee
