Love that Cragg seems to give more honest and direct answers than your typical AD. Also love how accessible he is to fans...he seems to have a sense of humor in dealing with it too which lightens things IMO in a good way. He seems to fully admit we are well behind other Big East schools in terms of facilities and that we are severely lacking in fundraising and donations. I still don't understand how the donations are a big issue when we have so many alums in very cushy gigs and some celebrity alums. Didn't Repole say he would've given $10 mil to the administration if they asked for it or something like that in that WFAN interview? I would never want to alienate a guy like that who could single-handedly boost our hoops program. But we somehow managed to. Even if he wanted to buy influence, who cares? If that's what it takes I do it. Just imagine Oregon severing ties with Phil Knight or Memphis severing ties to whomever runs FedEx. J Cole is worth at least $35 mil...Mullin $18 mil (did he ever donate before his coaching flop?)...Cuomo, Harkless making tens of millions got $40+ mil so far...etc. etc. Just seems we don't get big gifts from our most successful alums.
