Metta World Peace rides F train to work

I love Ron Ron. He's kinda different (ok, he's very different), but still lovable.

MSG had cameras follow him for the ride in , they showed it on the post game. It's also in their website. Ron also gave a shout out to the NY fans at mid-court right before the Knicks tipped last night .

The columnist who wrote the article, Jim Baumbach, is also a St Johns alum. Pretty sure he interviewed Ron alot for the torch when they were in school together.

Most famous people who live in NYC opt for the subway to get around since it is the fastest way from point to point. It's easy to hide though when you are under 6'2 by simply pulling a cap down over your face and wearing shades. When you are Artest's size, though, it's a little different.

Ron is different but obviously he has a big heart and a generosity of spirit.

My most amazing memory of him was in The Garden against Duke in an overtime loss. To quote Coach K. "that kid single-handedly did everything he could do to try to beat us. He left his heart on the court."

He remains in the NBA after all these years and I for one, defended and continue to defend the raw deal he got in the fiasco at the Palace. I watched it live at the time and his punishment (don't get me wrong--he deserved to be punished), did not fit the crime--- IMHO.

Go Ron-Ron.

Could't agree more. Ron is one of my all-time favorites. You might question his judgement in certain circumstances, but you can never question his commitment or willingness to lay it on the line. His "True Warrior" brand suits him well.

I also put that Duke loss among the great games in Redmen history. It seems odd to remember a loss fondly, but, damn, that game was a classic. Great battle and Ron was a beast.

Seems a bit of a stretch to think a 14-year-old could move Anthony Glover around.

Glover may have been - pound for pound - the strongest player I've ever seen at STJ.

I remember him throwing Jake Voskhul (who had about 6 or 7 inches on him) around like a rag doll.
