Meet up before games at CA

Was coming on here to post the same thing. Very upset about Sly Fox closing. If I am going with a couple of older gentlemen who probably aren't looking for a loud atmosphere is Parsons better or the Iguana? Thank you.
 
I've never been to Parsons Ale House, so I can't say how the atmosphere is. Iguana's has a very small bar area and an underused restaurant area. I suggested Iguana's because I prefer to park and walk rather than drive to campus after drinking. Parsons Ale House is a very long walk.

Parsons Ale House is where the students go every weekend and Tuesday night to drink. I have been there plenty of times and it is a decent size place. I've never been there without a lot of students there so I'm not sure what it would be like for pregame. As for the walk, it would be about a 20 min walk to CA from there. I've never been to Iguana's so I can't comment on the place, but the walk is much shorter than Parsons.
 
I presented the same question on this board several weeks ago with no response so I researched it my self. The best I could come up with which was literally a block away from the Fox was the Acquista Trattoria! Menu looked quite reasonable, and their was a good variety of dishes to choose from. I would not refer to it as pub food but you can walk to CA in short order. Plan to try it before the LIU game. The Acquista Trattoria is on Union Tpke as well!

Acquista's is a restaurant. A very good one. But its small and not a bar which is what most are looking for.

Iguana's was great when I was in school but has gone downhill big time. Everytime I pass and look in and there is nobody there. When I was in school Weds were dollar bottle nights. Place was jumping.

Parsons is just too far.

It's beyond sad. Where am I supposed to drink my sorrows after we inevitably lose to some crappy mid major?

Thats a great idea. I think Grady Reynolds still has some contacts from Club Erotica in Pittsburgh...
