Just saw he’s taking a leave of absence from Nebraska for health reasons. I know many have a sour taste in their mouth for him but wishing him a speedy recovery.
Speaking of Mustapha Heron, anyone know what he's up to? Was certain he was destined for a career in the NBA but never panned out.JohnnyFan post=445965 said:Hope Matt A is okay. I respect the job he did here.....hard-working and brought in some high talent. SJU is not an easy sell, so I tend to give him a pass on the ones that didn't work out.

Marvin Clark
Shamorie Ponds
Mustapha Heron
In the end it wasn't a great fit for Heron here. He spent one season with Ponds where he should have been a rock solid #2 option, maybe even the top scorer, and I just don't think the offense ever prioritized his talents. Year two was injury riddled. I just think we never saw the best of him, but overall I thought he had a lot more basketball ability than he was able to display consistently.Mario post=445987 said:Speaking of Mustapha Heron, anyone know what he's up to? Foreign basketball can be a sh*t show at lower levels especially. Guys don't get paid, promises like housing not kept, random cuts, etc.AJ Hidell post=446005 said:Last check two weeks ago, Heron was playing in a lower tier team in Hungary but he is no longer on that roster. He only played a few games there.
For the 1000th time Slice’s departure was all between Slice and Mullin , no more no less. Matt had nothing at all to do with it.
