Who knows, all conjecture at this point.
 
BTW-I mentioned the transfer portal a while back with respect to college football not sure whether it is for college basketball as well.

It is in place for basketball as well. Basically that means no more permission needed with regards to getting a release from your current school. Once you indicate your intention of transferring from your current school that school is obligated to put your name in the Portal (a national database) within 48 hours. And you are then free to be contacted by anyone at that point.

So schools simply monitor this database.
 
According to some fans we didn´t get HS players because we didn´t win.

We play the NCAA Tournament this season (so we are winning) but we are only recruiting transfers again.
