Martin Luther King

Former SJ Baseball star and legendary NYC  HS basketball coach Ron Naclerio interviewed by Rosanna Scotto on Local Fox-5 morning program this AM. His dad operated on MLK and apparently the families became friendly.

What amazes me about history is that in his time, MLK was seen as too radical by many.   Today many in civil rights see him as too conservative a figure in the civil rights movement.    What is clear, and deservedly so, is that over time he is more wiedley perceived as not just a great American civil rights leader,  but a great American period..  It's crazy to think that he didn't live to see 40.

"Eye on the Prize" is a good documentary that has priceless actual footage from that time.

Little Rock Central HS, James Meredith, Rev Shuttlesworth, Mississippi, Alabama...very good documentary
