Marquettes loses McKay

Seems like a big loss. They have three very experienced senior bigs, but McKay looked like a superior talent to two of them.
Assuming he is a good fit off the court, I'd love to add this kid to our roster. He' d make practices more competitive from day one and we could use a very experienced big man next season when we lose GG and Sanchez. He'd be eligible from mid-December. He is also from the same JUCO as Dwight Hardy. That is a selling point.

AA Juco is definitely a loss but they are loaded. Competitively just evens up the depth for us when we matchup especially if the new rules changes turn this season into a foul-fest. I just don't want to hear this as an excuse when St John's ends up #1 in the Big East instead of Marquette as everyone predicted.

We hold the trump card on excuses the next two years: Moe Harkless.

that excuse is so last year. 0 excuses this season. Various team members have as much as said it.

I don't think that'll be possible, as he would have to sit out two years. Although, he never played a game with Marquette, but he did sign a binding LOI.

Is it certain the new league adopted a two-year wait for interleague transfers? That seems unwise for a league that would surely lose talented kids to the very leagues it is competing against more than ever.

I agree with you there. But I'm guessing the same rules apply.

Otherwise, I would like for the staff to target McKay.
