Great article -- enjoyed reading it. Thanks for posting. Marcus has always been one of my favorite Johnnies.
 
Thank you. Marcus was really cool. Hope he gets a role with the team in the near future. It would be cool to see the program hire former alums are coaches. He could become a grad assistant who knows.
 
I would love to see him on the staff someday. Maybe he could get a master is social work or something similar and be a grad assistant to cut his teeth.
 
Would love to see him work with the basketball program in some capacity some day. Getting former players involved who share the passion and have been through the program can only be a good thing.

If you happen to follow him on twitter, @TheRealMarcusHatten, and it truly is his twitter account (which it appears to be because Lavin, St Jean, Zach Braziller, etc all follow him), it is clear that he still follows the program and supports it.

With that being said, he also shares some very NSFW material which may come back to haunt him and ultimately prevent him from ever being hired, especially the way the world is today.

We need to do a much better job with our former players to foster a family environment. Having so many chances over the last 25 years really hurts us in that regard.

Hopefully Cragg can get is where we need to be there. Marcus would be a great addition as a grad assistant.
 
Agree he follows me and I follow him after our conversation. He may need to deactivate twitter and make a new one. He likes and follows things that could prevent him from a job.
 
The steal and free throw against Duke are worth a monument. So, I am on board for a Hatten night and bobble head.

Better job would include =
Inviting players like Marcus to current games AND announcing their attendance adding a video board highlight!!
I have a call into our new seemingly receptive AD to encourage just that - rejoicing in our St. John’s history and family!
