I was very disappointed. Such a masterful show, ended with such a whimper. It is almost as if Matt Weiner rushed through the ending.
Or did Weiner feel bad about the crap thrown at Sopranos finale, that he wanted to spread out the venom?
It was a "lazy" episode to have Don in a reatreat, and then spark the creative juices to come up with the iconic Coke commercial. I guess he goes back to advertising and being a prick. Does he even have a relationship with his kids? There should have been more scenes with Sally, other than the phone conversation.
Other items that bothered me. Too much Joan. They could have tied her ending much quicker. The guy left her (not a shock) and she goes on her own. Why drag that out?
Roger was such a cool character, he deserved a better ending. Getting married again? Leaving half to his and Joan's kid?
The Peggy and Stan ending was straight out of a cheesy romantic comedy? Yikes!
Oh well. Goodbye to a great show (despite the final episode).
