sad thing is we could of had andre, staff wasn't all in on him. We have Posh which is great but this kid will be a first rounder trust me

Andre is the best PG to come out of NY in a while, but it's unfair to fault the staff for not landing him. It was just 6 months from the time CMA was hired to the time Curbelo committed.

Posh was a very good "get" considering that same timeline.

I don’t see it. Maybe I’m wrong, but Curbelo although a great distributor, is slow and his shot release is slow too. I think he’s gonna have a big adjustment with the overall bigger and better athletes and improved defenses. He’s an excellent floor general but doesn’t have physical attributes to be a first rounder.

Staff worked hard on recruiting Andre despite an up hill battle.

As you say, he is an excellent floor general who can create his own shot and for others.. Things look very easy for him on this level and it will be tougher when he gets to the Big Ten but he will be fine.

I don't know who is touting him as a first rounder but he is a good athlete and very deceptive with his quickness. No offense to Posh who I haven't seen play, but I would have loved to have Curbelo here.

Was at the game and Curbelo was the best basketball player on the court, although I am admittedly very partial to old school point guards. He does it all, including making players around him better. Very happy we got Alexander and if he is close to the point guard Curbelo is, I will very much remain so after he arrives.

What was your take on the other LuHi players namely (Traore, Pinzon and Kacper)

One game and admittedly I locked somewhat on Curbelo but here was my impressions; Pinzon struck me as a “Simon” type player in that he was surely athletic, played hard on both ends but appeared to be strictly a driver. That will get you stats in HS but not sure how that might translate up. But again one game. Kacper I noticed because as was posted on the board before, he was a willing and effective passer and played D, but then the whole team does. Can’t really comment on Traore, didn’t get much of an impression that I remember. Very much grain of salt comments because I was really watching the game and Curbelo while shooting the $hit with my nephew, who I don’t see very often.

You’re opinion on Pinzon is a good one, he can’t shoot from outside at this point. He is a smart and player and does have skills. Agree with your other analysis also. I was going to the game and make it an over night thing as I have family in the area who did go but a close friend had a surprise 50th party.
