LoVett

So, what's the report? Is Lovett leaving?? We are all hanging. If he is leaving, provide some speculation as to why! This is crazy! Next year, SJU and NYC would belong to him if he stayed!

Why? You want to know why? I'll tell you why! Because WE ARE ST. JOHN'S that's why!

I noticed one of the cheerleaders was absent the last two games.  Not sure if it is linked to the Lovett mystery but it is very suspicious.  Williams is also absent.  My feeling is this some package deal.  Valparaiso is my suspected landing spot as they need an injured forward, a point guard who hasn't bounced a basketball in 2 weeks and a slightly plump cheerleader.  Of course this is pure speculation but our new staff is still learning how to put the pieces together and they will learn from all the missteps this past year.  The first lesson was to stay away from Lavin recruits.  The second was to stay away from players with a history of injuries.  The third is you cannot be taken seriously by the NCAA with a pretend Athletic Director.  Our program always seems to never to pull the final trigger.

A friend's son attends the Jamaica campus and sees Marcus going to Taffner to work out. We all know he is a partial qualifier and cannot play. We know he was being rehabilitated for his injured knee. We know he sat behind the team last night. Most colleges, such as St. John's, begin second semester classes in a few days ( next week). As far as I am concerned a kid can leave college whenever he wants but one has to ask shit stirrers like Theo why they are harassing this kid 5 days before his second semester classes begin with Tweets asking him if he is staying at SJ? Unless he is transferring to Iona, does anyone even remotely wonder why he is in New York? Has anyone asked Ron Linfonte if he has stopped training him? Hey, maybe he will transfer but it will have nothing to do with this staff or playing time. How about giving the kid props for working to get qualified (partial) and wish him luck come what may?

I tweeted Zacha B. Ny post yesterday about Lovett rumors ....... Your welcome Redmen fans. Sleep easy tonight !! ........ @patrickgillon1 Twitter account .

A transfer announcement would have came in December so he could visit, decide on new school, and enroll in spring classes to become eligible for 2nd half of 2016-17 season.

This might have been the dumbest thing I have ever read...

What part? Staying away from anything LAVIN, signing two injured recruits or failing to hire an AD? Inquiring minds want to know. The first part was in jest Neimlich!

I stopped reading after the plump cheerleader part, so everything you said after was fair...i just disagree with the second part...Lovett has a ton of talent and that talent is making all players on the court with him better, yes he was a Lavin recruit but having him for this year wouldn't make a huge difference anyway. I think next year Lovett will be a great contributor to this team in the future and if I'm wrong I will be the first one to say I was wrong.

I never mentioned Lovett for a reason. He is not playing and imo starts on day one next year with Ponds. Bashir and Sima start. The key will be who starts in place of Christian Jones or Alibegovic. It sounds laughable but it may be the key recruit everyone is anticipating.

We are fortunate that Lovett has decided to stay. You never know with college players anymore when it comes to transfers. However the team this year is very international heavy, something players like Lovett aren't used to. With some urban city ballers coming to play next year in ponds, ahmed and possibly alkins, I see him feeling more comfortable with players from similar backgrounds.
