Ponds, Lovett, and Simon, along with Bashir and the transfers big?
Nice starting 5 there as long as the BIG is a rebounding machine and protects the rim.

At least this is settled...
Darien Williams and Malik Ellison will leave the Queens program, but Ellison’s departure seems to indicate Marcus LoVett Jr. could be coming back to St. John’s. A source told The Post “all signs are pointing to his return,” and the coaching staff expects the dynamic guard, an All-Big East rookie team selection who averaged 15.9 points and 3.8 assists, will be back.
After the season ended, sources said LoVett was considering going pro. When asked if he would return, LoVett told The Post: “I don’t have an answer for that.”
LoVett’s father, Marcus LoVett, told The Post no decision has been made, but said it makes sense for his son to be back.
“A return works for both [parties],” he wrote in an email. “Marcus will be one year from completing undergraduate studies and more improved as a basketball student to better his chances later for whatever level of basketball he reaches.”

Getting a little ahead of myself here, but I find the Dad's talk about him being one year from a degree a positive sign that maybe, just maybe, when next year is over he decides to return additional year and to get his degree(and maybe lead us to the Final Four).
Good news! I wonder if Karnowski has a brother?

Simon, Ponds, LoVett = one of top guard trios in country. Add competent grad transfer big & dancing a solid possibility.
