LoVett Article in NY Post

Agreed, very nice article. But it's really a tribute to an individual who appears to be a special kid. I've read a number of pieces about him -- which paint a consistent picture. He appears to have a unique combination of talent, grit, maturity, leadership and heart. When you throw in his character (and family support) in handling adversity, just confirms my previously expressed belief. I think we're all in store for a treat as we watch him progress over this season and hopefully over the next few years. Wishing him the best of luck....

Nice. Very eager to see this guy on the floor and how this group comes together over the next couple of seasons.

Seems like a great kid. He's going to win some games for us and I believe make the rest of the team better. Good teams all have great Pg's. Our backcourt is going to be sooo much better than last year it's ridiculous. Lovett and Ponds remind me of one of those Uconn backcourt combos that we hated playing against. Two very fast and athletic scorers. Great article

Kid is a special player, great handle, great vision. I am curious to see how his jump shot and defense is.

I imagine Lovett setting our big men up for many easy buckets.

Excellent article...

Hoping he shines here and becomes a name we talk about for a long time.

I think he was closer to transferring than what is stated in the article, so we lucked out big time. I think he'll be good right out of the gate, and make the list for a lot of awards in his final season here. Looking forward to seeing him make slower PGs look absolutely silly.

agree with everything you said

Nice article. The three things I liked most:
1- He honored his commitment here and sounds like he feels at home.
2- A bond seems to be forming with Ponds and I think this will become a special tandem on and off the court.
3- The Great Lawn? This is where I used to sleep during spring semester instead of going to that damn economics class all those years ago.

All kidding aside, great article and I am happy Marcus is ready to go. :cheer:

Closer to transferring only because of the half dozen schools who inquired on a transfer due to his situation . I'm happy this current team is filled with high character kids .

got to give Matt credit for leveraging his news connections and tieing into social media to help with future recruiting

This guy did all the right things during the adversity he faced - very impressive. And he has a smart dad behind him.

Have to give his dad a lot of credit, especially not looking for the easy way out. Obviously helps his son face adversity.
Really looking forward to seeing this motivated young man.

Old guy remembers possible source for Lovett nickname.

I am not crazy about kids who attend multiple high schools solely for basketball, but it worked out pretty well for CM.

Are you saying that it worked out well for CM with Lovett, or with CM considering he went from Power to Xaverian, or both?

Really, both, but was referring to Mullin and Xaverian and Power Memorial.
