Louisville Scandal Update

I can't wait to see the penalty. We will find out if Louisville is in the North "I didn't see nothing" Carolina division or the St. "where did they get that necklace" division. The NCAA had people roaming around Queens in the day. Something tells me the old slap on the wrist see no evil ruling is coming.
 
Glad to see Pitino take the high road and not mention 9/11 yet agai..... dammit Ricky!
 
This deserves mention on his hall of fame bio. Right after the list of national championships.
 
I am not saying it's right, that it shouldn't be punished or anyone absolved but arrangements for recruits to "meet and interact with" ladies has been going on for many, many years. This one might differ in terms of how organized it was along with some other aspects, It is also the first time that a book was written about it which has shone a spotlight on the practice.

While I would agree that it is virtually impossible for a head coach to know everything that is going on with every kid, assistant coach, support staff and boosters involved in his program, I really find it hard to believe Pitino didn't know about this. During a visit you're telling me he didn't check in the next morning to see how the evening went? He didn't ask the recruits' host or the recruit " so what did you guys do last night?" Or did he just say, "Did you enjoy yourself last night" and winked. Finally, where did the former GA/DBO get the funds for these soirees, especially when he was a GA?

I guess these things happen to good shooters when you give them a great coach, talented teammates, and a system that will get them open looks.

Always liked the idea of Henderson, so hope to see him do well in the minutes he gets this season.
 
Pitino is always selling! He thinks the sanctions they self imposed were to harsh! Is this guy kidding! They should in my opinion be required to vacate at least 2 years of wins, including their National Championship! But I doubt that any penalty like that will be imposed! The integrity of College basketball is in the sh__ter!
