Looking for an opinion from my fellow Redmen

Hello everyone!

My family and I are currently moving from Queens to Suffolk. I have 2 boys (5 and 2 1/2).Because we are in the process of moving right when my son is going to Kindergarten and being extremely analytical, I haven't done the full amount of research that I would like to do. Therefore, I was looking for an opinion of my fellow Redmen to point me in the right direction. I am currently looking at private schools in Western Suffolk and Eastern Nassau. A Catholic school would be great. However, the quality of the school is most important to my wife and I. Any insight would be appreciated.

Saint Mary's in East Islip is a wonderful Catholic School. The East Islip/Islip communities are great places to live (although East Islip has had some budget problems lately), and I have found the communities to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Westbury Friends School is well priced, small classes and a great staff, It won the "school of the year" award last year.

If you want to spend BIG bucks try Friends Academy. Many people send their offspring to Westbury for grammer

school and then transfer them to Friends.

West islip is a great community with a good share of St John's allums.
Our Lady of Lourdes is a small Catholic school there that has gotten a lot of positive press of late.
Check out the community and the school if you have a chance.
The school's website is OLLSCHOOL.ORG.
Good luck!

Thanks for the help. Prior to some of the responses, my wife and I had narrowed it down between two of the Catholic schools mentioned Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Mary's, as well as Holy Family and St. Patrick's.
