I haven't been this excited about the start of the BE Tournament in a long time?
Why?

1. We have some positive momentum on our side
2. Posh may be available to play
3. Yesterday's upsets makes the bracket more interesting
4. Two teams ranked above us have some issues
    A. Villanova - injuries
    B. Creighton - McDermott issues

It's still an uphill climb but there are real possible opportunities out there for us
It all starts today - 3 PM can't come soon enough!!!
Beat The Hall ....................... GO JOHNNIES!!!

My fears;

Too much good news this week :)

Aiken is only SH true PG and looked good last game. If he plays well it allows those who have subbed in his many absences to resume natural roles.

Will see a lot of zone and have to avoid getting three happy.

Can't depend on more 50+ point second half recoveries and have to get off to solid start obviously

Other than that, I am confident :)

Aiken has career negative A:TO ratio. Hasn’t played posh yet. Could be TO city!

We have to value the ball and avoid turnovers, especially vs. their press.  Don't have Wusu in bound, too many times he's had issues.

I am mostly cncnerned wiht the size disparity and my expectation that SH will try (unlikke last game) kill us inside.

That's why CMA should use Roberts, Moore , Toro for 15 fouls , if necessary  . Seton Hall  big guys don't  shoot fouls well . Make them can the free throws rather than the dunks .    This is one of the biggest games in our history and certainly the last 20 years .  It's nerve wracking but , better than being home already after a Wednesday night loss or , 12 noon start  in less than 12 hours .  We need a good start , not a 18-0 spotting .  Hope to tire them out and wear them down .  Cant let Mamu take over the Game .   Let's Go Johnnies .

The keys to beating SJU are not a mystery:

1.  Get the ball up the floor without incident
2.  Get the ball inside either by guard penetration or passing to a big or both.
3.  Keep a defender on Champagnie on the perimeter.
4.  Let Posh and Dunn shoot if they want, but if they put the ball on the floor get ready for the charge and to deny them at the rim.
5.  Make someone else beat you.

The challenge for the Hall is that Willard tends to play Obiagu and Mamu at the same time which winds up with Mamu on the perimeter and Obiagu inside.  And Obiagu is not a guy who should put up 20 against you if you keep a body on him.

So for SJU the key is to use all the big men they have on Obiagu when he's in the game, keep someone in Mamu's face, don't let him beat you off the dribble, and make someone else beat you.

Posh may be a difference-maker in this game because SJU did not turn Seton Hall over much last game - that should change.  And must change since I think the most direct path for SJU to win this game is to create turnovers and for Greg Williams to score points.  If that doesn't happen then it will have to be some combination of Earlington/Moore/Wusu/Cole stepping up.

I just saw a post on Twitter that Moore will be our today.  Please tell me just a silly rumor.

Yep. It's our Moore who is out today. COVID contact tracing says he was exposed.
