there are 15 law schools in New York State.
For the recent July 2011 NY Bar exam St. John's was 7th in pass percentage among the 15 law schools in New York State.
St. John's grads passed the exam at a rate 2% above the Statewide average of 86%.
St. John's neighbor in the borough of Queens, CUNY School of Law was "DFL" among the 15 New york law schools in Bar pass rate, 19% below the state average. If CUNY Law can’t pick up its bar-exam pass rate, its ABA accreditation could be jeopardized: The American Bar Association requires that at least 75 percent of test-takers pass the exam in three of the prior five years
