One count accuses Mushatt of possessing a phony transcript which was submitted to a St. John's employee to fraudulently establish eligibility for a student to be enrolled and participate in athletics at St. John's.
So the kid's coach --not the registrar's office-- submitted the transcript directly to SJU? And we accepted that??

Let's just hope the guy doesn't say under-oath that our former coaching staff did anything improper.

How common is it for a transcript to be submitted via parking lot exchange? It's hard to accept that the previous staff could not (at best) see red flags.
We're not North Carolina, so I sincerely hope we don't have to pay for this. Enduring Steve Lavin was painful enough. Please, no more Lavin pain.

I may be deluding myself, but I'll take solace in the fact that the young man never appeared in a game for us.
I might be in the minority on this but to me it's ridiculous that the guy gets indicted on this and yet college coaches cheat all the time having their kids pass bs classes with not even showing up etc and nothing happens to themLee Higgins – @LeeHiggins

breaking rules to help people is not helping them.

Right, they cannot sanction us for using an ineligible player in competition as he never played for us. Could they find something else, possibly, but fraud was committed by someone not involved in the program and apparently without our knowledge.
