St John's hosting Villanova today at 2 PM on CBS Sports Network
Hoping for the men and ladies to both be victorious this afternoon
 
Watching this game. Disappointed in their play. Ladies much more talented, but execution is poor, especially against the zone that Villanova went to in the second half. Coach T should have pressed this slower team.
 
So down 4 they press Villanova, get a couple of steals, tie the game up with possession, and after a time out, stand around for 15 seconds, and then throw up a wild shot. No basket, so now in OT.
 
Ughh. Nova w/ a 3 to take lead by 3 ...16 sec left.

I dont know why they give so much space in womens game to take these open outside shots

Fwiw... Female announcer sounded a lot like (at least to me) WFAN's Maggie Gray

Male announcer said Coach Carnesecca put St. John's "on the map"

Sure he was trying to say something nice on Coach's birthday but I guess the young announcer never heard of Joe Lapchick (or Buck Freeman, for that matter)
