Ladies lose to UConn

Thanks cap maker. No one wants to loose but this is a very respectable loss to the eventual NCAA champion. Our starting five played very well but we must get a contribution from our bench. Unfortunately junior center Sandra Odobi had surgery and has yet to play this season. She would be the best player off the bench. Hopefully the freshmen start to develop sooner than later.
 
While I hate to lose, I thought we played very well, considering that:

1. It was our second game in 3 days
2. We have no bench, so our starters are forced to play almost the entire game
3. Yukon had 4 starters that were more than 6' tall. We had two, yet we were competitive on the boards
4. Breanna Stewart, at 6'4", had 18 pts, 11 boards and 6 blocks. An outstanding player.

While I think Auriemma is a pompous jerk, he is an excellent coach. This team is very talented and plays extremely well together.

Next game is on Friday, against Butler at 8 PM on Fox Sports 1.

Why don't they have a bench? Sounds like the other team on campus.
