Knicks Article About Zion (SJ mention)

If anybody but the Knicks wins the lottery it is on the level. If the Knicks win it it was fixed. At least that is what a lot of people will believe. Not me. As the article states for the past 34 years they haven't ever moved up even one spot. Missed out on Steph Curry by one pick who Donnie Walsh wanted to draft and seem to remember missing out on one or more others by a spot or 2 over those years.

Just for fun I did about 25 spins in a lottery simulator and the Knicks rarely came up winning #1. They got the 1st pick in about 2/25 spins and Atlanta and Cleveland came up a lot. It just seems like the Knicks are always cursed. The rules changed recently to make the odds of getting Zion even less even in our worst year ever. The NBA needs to do something to get the Knicks back into NBA relevancy. Forget Toronto or Portland or San Antonio or Houston. No one can bring the media barrage and the brightest lights of NYC to this day. I'm now 30 years old and my only memories of the Knicks being anything other than absolutely pathetic were maybe 2 or 3 years and I was in elementary school for a few of them. New York sports are absolutely terrible at the pro ranks. Really makes me wonder what it must have been like in 69, the early to mid 80's, etc. when things were much different. If it weren't for the Yankees or Giants, NY would probably be seen as the worst pro sports city in terms of results in the US. Imagine living in Boston or Philly where all the teams are relevant constantly.

Big night for us long suffering Knicks fans tomorrow. Understand draft lottery is at 8:30 just before Warriors - Trailblazers game. I have a dinner date at 6 with some old work colleagues about a 25 minute drive from home, will need to make sure we are on track to finish by shortly after 8, lol. Then again, maybe I am much better off purposely getting home at 9 and hope I am pleasantly surprised!
