Khem Birch Leaving Pitt?

 One report says to Kentucky. Makes sense. You never have to compete for minutes there since no one stays more than 2 years. Couple ex-players questioning his toughness, desire on twitter.
 
 Unless something major happens that is not known outside of the university, I dont know how someone can become disenchanted with a school 3 months in. Didn't understand it with Nuri and w/ Birch either. I totally understand the want to transfer, St. John's has benifited greatly over the years, but they were players for the most part played 1-2 years in a program and either were not getting enough PT, were recruited over or just home-sick. Do kids really give it a fair chance after 10 games and 3 months at a university. Every one has growing pains leaving HS and entering college, but you work through it. Guess times have changed since I was at st john's .
 
 many players wanting to transfer to other schools. I have been following college bb since 1968, and cannot remember when so many players opted to transfer..Your thoughts!
 
 With some players it is all about M&M...............Me and minutes.

I am sure his minutes were being reduced like Nurideen and instead of just working harder he let his ego take over.
 
One of my son's bball coaches is very good friends with Khem Birch's father. I will try to find out tomorrow night at practice what happened and if not tomorrow night over the course of the weekend at our games on Saturday and Sunday.
Sorry to say but too bad for Pitt.

Yeah some tweets are saying it isn't done yet.
Where there is smoke there is fire.
Was really shocked to hear it though so who knows.
 
 Reports were he was unhappy even before the season. He was also a bit overhyped. UK not a great place for him. He should go somewhere that he'll get burn. He'll have a hard time cracking the lineup at UK. Super raw on offense.
 
 I used to love college sports, I still love St. John's but College Athletics is the stupidest thing in the world. How does Ohio State Football get a waiver to have two football staffs because OSU brings in a lot of money to the NCAA. A couple of things you have got to remember if you like college sports, the Athletes don't care about the school, the coach cares about how much money he is making and if the athlete doesn't like it he is getting out of there as soon as possible. I'm glad I live in Las Vegas where this all makes sense.

I somewhat followed his recruitment in high school. For the most part it became apparent that he was following assistant coach Pat Skerry. When Skerry was at Providence strong rumors came that he was going to commit to them. Then when Skerry was at Pitt Birch decided to go there. Now Skerry is in his first year as head coach at Townson. The two are very close and I believe that Skerry not being at Pitt had a huge affect on Birch. It seems very unlikely but wouldn't be totally surprised if Birch went to Townson
