We are about #39 and here’s what he wrote - optimistic I believe:

St. John's has been one of the nation's most frustrating teams, capable of a home-and-away sweep of top-10 Marquette but not answering the bell at home against DePaul, Georgetown or Providence. The tournament would be better if Shamorie Ponds is in it, though not for the teams forced to face the Johnnies.

That is Jay Bilas and Top 68!

He had Seton Hall at #52 as well (this was all prior to last night).

Maybe we will be top 25 next year when we add Nico Carvacho and Jalen Fisher as grad transfers.

Nico! Nico! Nico!

Nico! Nico! Nico![/quote]

Nico is the best player on Colorado St. and would be a significant upgrade from Keita.

Injury history is a little worrisome, but he plays better D than anyone we have, runs a good point, and can shoot it well from deep.
He’d pair well with Mack.

Wright is a wing & original post referenced need for someone to play some PG. That's not Wright.

Regarding Wright, does anyone have any insight into how he has looked in practices with the team this season? Assume he is practicing with the team? I have seen some posts pointing out that he didn't appear to be on the bench the last couple of games.

Not sure practice is a good guide as Keita was also said to be a beast in practice last year.

Did posters say that, or was that what the staff was telling the media?

I also recall a few posts mentioning Keita being a real factor in practices, as well as Dixon.

I'd like to see Keita get a real chance at playing. Mullin did a very poor job bring Keita and Williams along, and an even worse job with Roberts. Let's see them all before we play taps on their NCAA careers.

Is there a legit reason why Dixon chose to transfer during the season? Kid would have definitely been getting some minutes, he already was.

Roberts came in as raw. I did not expect him to play much if at all this season. In his first minutes he was clearly not ready to play. He literally averaged a foul+/min and his screens were tragically bad and didn't even get the foul calls he deserved on a few of those. He looks WAY improved. His screens are tighter and he's in better position. I thought he was a least a couple of seasons away but he has made phenomenal progress. Disagree that Mullin did a bad job with Roberts. Players like that often don't gel at all. I'd take him on the floor over 4th year Yakwe for example. He's got very little basketball history and has given good minutes the last two games. Credit to him and the staff. If he continues to improve at this pace the sky is the limit. As far as Williams, he has come in and made early mistakes and turnovers in recent games. I'm sure the staff wants him to play. But he's got to be solid.

They all should have seen some PT earlier in the season, before BE games.

How do you figure he did a very poor job bringing Keita along?

More Williams than Keita. Keita was injured early, but should have seen more PT earlier in BE season.
