I'm surprised that nothing about his injury has been posted. I was watching the game when it happened and I don't think it was expected that the replay would show the gruesome injury. I saw all the gory details and it was horrific to say the least. It was absolutely the worst sports injury I have ever seen. I'm sure there are links to the video, but I'm not posting any here. If you do decide to watch what happened, I suggest you prepare yourself for a very difficult and emotional experience.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ware and his family at this time.

Horrific is right. Not being in the medical field, is this an injury that a young man can completely recover from and resume play at this level or is it ultimately debilitating?

Not much too say about it other than it was horrific – bad enough that I will avoid watching the replay one more time.

That said, the most compelling shots were watching the reaction of his teammates on the bench and on the floor. Amir Garrett tweeted something to the effect of how tight the L'ville team is, which is an interesting insight from someone who has competed against them.

Some people have been questioning whether the raised court affects how a player thinks/reacts as they approach the sidelines and whether is a potential hazard. Can anyone explain why these courts are built this way?

Do not care to see it Hope the young man recovers fully. I am sure he is getting the best care Hope they keep him out of pain He is a strong man and will keep his dream alive to come back to be even better . God be with him

I am not sure about the physical recovery, but I don't see how anyone could ever fully mentally recover. That was just horrible...the worst sports injury I've ever witnessed.

He had surgery last night, and it is expected to be six months before he walks again, and a full year before he can be playing basketball again. On the mental side of things if anyone can recover it is this kid. As Pitino said after the game, he had a bone six inches out of his leg, and all he was saying was win the game, he is a tough kid, and told his teammates to not worry about him but just win the game

Just a gruesome injury. Seeing it on the replay was enough. Just a real freak thing my prayers are with the young man.
