Kenpom predicts that our beloved St. John's will finish 14th our of 16 teams in the BEast standings with a record of 13-17 overall and 6-12 overall.

Lets hope that Coach Lavin and company proves him wrong.

Don't think he predicted us to finish tied for the 3rd best record in the BE last year. 
 
If you just go based on their individual game predictions, they only have St Johns winning 9 games total and 2 in the big east.
 
More than any other preseason ranking system Pomeroy's system has no idea what to do with STJ. His is purely a numbers based system and at this point I'm sure much if not most of it is based upon stats of returning players. SInce there's no returning players but Stith that makes it very hard for this type of numbers/stats driven system to figure out what the team is capable of. I'm not saying his projections, not predictions, are wrong. Just that he doesn't have any sort of sample size to assign to STJ so it could go either way. 4 days til the games count. By the end of December all should have a pretty good idea of what this team is capable of, good or bad.
 
 Think coach and staff needs to pull out a a top 25 recruit for next yr? Said before going 500 in BE will be an accomplishment. But next yr we need big think to happen!!!!
 
 I welcome the lowly preseason prediction.


The low prediction will make the players all the more determined.
 
I agree otis. Could give them kind of a circle the wagons outlook.
