Just came back from the game

I am a long time reader and a fan of Redmen.com Never indulged in the conversations but i will start to change that. I love SJU and i will support it for as long as i can. Anyways, I took my wife today who is a casual fan as much as a female can be. She knows few players and of course the coach with cool hair
She said one thing that stuck to me.
"You always take me to the big games and as expected SJU comes up short. They can never get over the hump when the spotlight is on them. They hype and drama is there but at the end we always lose in a big spot"
so on point in my opinion.

My only comment is that the struggles along the way make those moments when we come out on top that much sweeter...

Well we are rarely in the national spotlight. Win games like Creighton at home, providence at home, to get in the tournament and get more chances to succeed in the national spotlight.

If our only chances in the spotlight are against duke, we aren't gonna get over the hump too many times.

Don't get me wrong i am here for the bad days as well as the good days. Season ticket holder since Norm came aboard. I can count on one hand how many games i missed including the early season scrimmages. Days like today are very frustrating.
I support Lavin because at this point i think we have the best what we can have. In my opinion if we switch coaches we will be starting from absolute bottom. He is what he is but Lav has a name that is recognizable in NCAA community.

That's when I first started getting my season tix too. My freshman year was the year Jarvis got canned. I've been a season ticket holder ever since. Believe it or not I've only missed 1 Garden game in the last 12 seasons, Pittsburgh in 2011 for my godsons baptism. That will haunt me forever.

That game was the best sporting event I have ever been to. That was during my freshman year and I have been hooked ever since.
