Last year CMA and staff main heartbreak was LI kid Riley, our top recruit who opted to play for Georgetown. The Hoya's had awful year, culminating w huge losing streak, and Riley hardly saw the light of day, even on dismal squad. Six players from that team have entered the transfer portal, but Riley is not among them. I'm wondering what gives- I had figured, as G'town was winding down, that Jordan might seek other opportunities, and I assume he would have been in high demand. G'town is a great school- maybe this young man is taking full advantage of the academic opportunity which the school offers. Any thoughts?

If he values a collegiate degree, he should stay put.

the train has left the station.

He was injured and sidelined
Hurt his shoulder early on and had surgery to repair it. Will probably get a medical redshirt if he wants it.

Not going to speculate why he stayed put but if you are wondering if we would still have interest in him if he had elected to hit the portal, I will say that rumors were one of the reasons he picked Gtown was he wanted to play the point and they told him he would be given the opportunity. Considering who we currently have on the roster (both returning and at least one newcomer) who can and will do the majority of the ball handling, I don’t see either party having an interest in each other.

Thanks- that makes sense

He actually response to me when he was composing, told him Jordan could have stayed home. His response was “ live and learn”
He'll be in New York next season. And will get the bonus year from COVID. Still time to carve out a decent career at a school that will appreciate him.

He was in high school during the 2020-21 season, which is the “COVID” year so he does not get an extra year for it. He should get an extra year for redshirting last year as a freshman due to injury and surgery.

Whoops, thanks. Losing track of time. But the thought still stands: Will get enough time at Hofstra or Stony Brook to wash the bad taste out of dad's mouth.

If this kid can’t get any burn on a terrible team, we probably should not consider him in the portal. If we’re going to take a flier on a former recruit that got away, it should be Cuffe. Even then my expectations would be low.
