Johnnies vs Butler

Lately I’ve read allot of posts about our inferior talent but I have to agree with Beast here. At least against Butler, Champ, Wheeler, Posh and Soriano seems as good if not superior to their players. The problem with StJohns is that Anderson’s antiquated Helter Skelter defense leaves allot of wide open threes.

Glad to see that Champ realizing that he still can’t hit threes, he is posting up more and going to the basket.

What’s amazing to me is that…..Anderson has had a decided advantage in the low post with Wheeler, Soriano and Champ. Soriano is 6 for 6 in the post, where has he been?

if he keeps posting those three low, they should win….. just stop shooting threes.

Good win but suspect coaching at the end? Why would they have Coburn, their weakest defensive player be in there at the end, why not Mathis? Kudos to Champ for making big FTs at the end. But have to say with a decided advantage down low, that could have been better utilized.

Hopefully this propels them minimally on a run to the NIT.
