Joe Panik Retires from Baseball

I just saw that in the NY Post. Had a nice career, gets a nice pension and has a World Series Ring. Congrats to what I understand and heard is a really good guy and representative of St. John's.

Greatest MLB players from SJU.
Top of my head:

Frank Viola.
John Franco.
Rich Aurilia.
Joe Panik

Who am I missing?

Ahh, Baseball-Reference makes it so easy.

CJ Nitkowski pitched 10 years.

Didn't know journeyman Mike Jorgensen was an SJU grad. 17 years in the majors!

And arguably our best pitcher of all time and 1st round pick Craig Hansen had four seasons.

After his playing career, (played parts of two seasons with the Texas Rangers) Wayne Rosenthal got a World Series ring as the Marlins Pitching Coach in 2003 (which is the only good thing I have to say about that Series šŸ¤¬šŸ˜”)

I don't think he has a Bay Area home anymore, but he would never have to buy his own beer ever again in San Francisco. They love him out here.
