The first pro football game I ever attended was an AFL game between the NY Titans ( Jets ) and the San Diego Chargers at the Polo Grounds . That night I saw the greatest flanker in pro history , Lance Alworth ,play . He could run like a deer , stop on a dime , go straight up jump over a defender and make the catch .
