I wonder if ESPN will do a documentary about the ACC called 'League of Shame'. With their poster boy insulting an opposing player on the handshake line and then lying about it. Another coach basically being accused of being a pimp. Syracuse coming off sanctions for cheating, and UNC having cheated their players out of an education for 18 years. OH, and no coaches have been fired. Maybe 60 minutes will do a show.

I wish there was a way to find out how all of you who are so furious about the tripping felt about John Starks when he tripped Scottie Pippen.

The tripping is terrible and he should be given a foul and a T for it, but I havent seen an instance where it helped them win a game...its not like he's tripping guys who then get injured and cant play, thank god. I mean is this worse than punching guys on another team? We've never had anyone do that right...?

I wish there was a way to find out how all of you who are so furious about the tripping felt about John Starks when he tripped Scottie Pippen.

The tripping is terrible and he should be given a foul and a T for it, but I havent seen an instance where it helped them win a game...its not like he's tripping guys who then get injured and cant play, thank god. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there is little to no sympathy for ratface apologists on here. He is a pompous guy. Great coach, horrible person. A lying bully who uses hypocrisy to get by. And did I mention his ancestors were rats?

That is the thing Duke does chippy, sneaky things that are actually more annoying. Yet Ferret face is ok with it but a kid on other team shooting a three at end of shot clock is worth ranting about?

Thanks for your comments but I didnt even mention Coach K in my post. My comments were comparing Grayson Allen to John Starks and to players of ours who have also been "physical" on the court.

I know im in the definite miniscule minority here. But I actually like coach K. I compare the guy to other successful coaches not some fairy tale ideal coach. And relatively, hes a clean guy and has a program that plays by the rules.

Lets be honest, the real reason he and Duke are hated is because for the past 3+ decades they have kicked the asses of all of our alma maters pretty consistently.

Laettner was and is a foul human being and should have been thrown out of that Kentucky game...if that game was played today he would have been.

Grayson Allen to me seems like a punk kid who probably gets undue criticism because of the jersey he wears. It's part of what he signed up for, but I just think it is going a bit overboard. He needs to mature but there are "cheap" players on most teams....Sir'Dom had his fair share of incidents and I felt exactly the same way about him. Not suggesting anyone needs to change their views, just trying to put things in context a little.

My problem with Coach K is that he is a flat out hypocrite. He worries about the kid on the other team while seemingly looking the other way when the kid he should be coaching does something shall we say unsportsmanlike. I remember a story someone told me that if you sit behind the Dook bench you should bring your earmuffs to shield yourself from the profanity spewing Coach. Now I understand emotion can get the best of people and harsh language is just part of the deal, however don't act like you have some sort of class that others do not but that is the way he is presented. The other problem is that some guys are in the "club" the media club that no matter what they do it doesn't get reported or gets played down. Just watch the apologists rush to his defense. Dookie V, Jim Nantz, his good old coach buddy the General Bobby Knight. I could go on but I think if you watch long enough you get it.

Curious, give me a successful coach in college basketball who the apologists do not rush to his defense? I mean you have Pitino and Boeheim who have apologists rushing to their defense and between lack of institutional control in different ways or whatever you take from the issues both programs have, they are much less deserving of deference then a Polak from Chicago who swears a lot and defends his players to the media while criticizes others...I mean lets put this in perspective here......

My point isnt that Coach K does not get a royal treatment...he ABSOLUTELY does...but find me a coach who wins who DOESN'T get the royal treatment from the media....?
