Is there a reason why he doesn't drive to the hoop every damn time down the floor?

Just wondering.

I like his game a lot. As you stated, good driving to the hoop, great court vision and subsequent passing, good handle. Savvy. Good D. Not very good outside shot.

I love him but he only goes left. Gets him into trouble.

Beach played him wrong all game. You lay off him and let him take an ill-fated jumper. They were up on him even in the zone and he exploited that.

Actually I didn't see the game yet. But I'm hypothezizing like a boss.

Not sure about that. In his first season with us, before he was injured in Gtown game by Lunkhead, he was shooting 50% from 3.

As I stated a couple of weeks ago, I like him starting and Jordan coming off the bench, since Jordan can provide more of a spark off the bench and Branch is more effective as a starter. We will see what unfolds, though.

I agree Beast. Branch's outside shooting is not horrible. The problem is that he refuses to shoot. This will cause a problem down the road if he can't get opposing defenses to respect his ability to shoot the jumper even a little they will lay off him and subsequently impede his ability to drive to the hoop which he does so effectively. In order to maximize his effectiveness as a player for this team he will have to start taking and making a few jump shots.

I like that our guys are thinking pass first and look for a better shot than a three. I think that mentality is one of the keys to our success.

Another subject, but does D'Angelo ever go hard to the hoop on a fast break? He seems to pull up on the break at least once or twice per game and launch a three with no one under the boards. He just doesn't make those shots with any frequency, and I wish he'd either take it strong to the hole, or wait for his teammates to show up

My take on D'Lo's pull-up jumpers. Simply, he feels it. We all know he is not timid about driving to the hoop to get +1's. But it does seem that he takes the pull-up when there are 2 or 3 defenders back. If it's 1 on 1, he drives.
