Jamal Branch Gets Contract

Granted, it's Slovakia, but nevertheless some good news on an otherwise grim day.

Don't know Jamal, but he always came across to me as a good teammate, a class act, and a good representative of the program. Wish him nothing but success.

Agreed. Jamal was fun to watch and I'm proud that he played for our team. Good luck to him and we'll be following closely.
 
A guy at the gym I go to said his daughter just graduated from SJU and Jamal had just finished playing at Pier 34 (?) summer league and was staying at his house until leaving for overseas. Said he brought him to the gym the other day to introduce him to me but unfortunately it was a day I didn't go. Said Jamal is a great kid which is not at all surprising as we all could just tell from his on court demeanor. Kid was usually smiling and for a point guard you never saw him barking at anyone.
