It's good to be Moe.

Sweet lookin' pad. Good for you, Moe. Enjoy. (And get some SJU gear on those walls...)

I know that house. It's just 2 miles down the road I live a couple houses off. If anyone wants to send him something shoot it my way and I'll throw it over his fence.

PS Smart Move picking Venice over that other house in Sherman Oaks. The valley. Ugh. ;)

I hope he is renting or selling the other house. I know he has a big contract but who knows what happens after this season. Too many NBA players go broke.

By the end of this year, he would have made $60 million in career NBA salary.
Don't know where else his money has gone, but he seems very level-headed and real estate in SoCal is rarely a bad investment.

In addition to the money he has already made, after this season, he will be a 26 year old unrestricted free agent. He's not a star, but a legit NBA player. He will make somewhere near $100 million dollars before he retires.

He should be more concerned that he's on his third team in eight years. Will he have to try to unload it two years from now? He definitely has money so no longer applies to him, but guys on their first contract are crazy to dump huge money into a house.

And I thought he was crazy for leaving early.

Seems like a great kid. That Duke game on national TV his freshman year put him into mid first round and he has taken it from there. He's been a solid rotation guy in NBA for 7 years and is on a team that could make a lot of noise in the playoffs.
That house was on Million Dollar Listings in Bravo.
Every house in the neighborhood could be on million dollar listing, this is definitely not one of the "must see open houses" in the neighborhood.

I'm sure they tried to leverage the publicity to try and get that original $4.2 million price but really every old bungalow that gets sold (for $1.5 mill and up) gets torn down and built into one of these. The only thing that affects value is being further west, which he is.

PS you'll be amused that the house is on a 1/8 acre lot or maybe slightly larger.

Me too. Of course I didn't think he'd make the first round when he announced.

Same here. So many NBA players don't consider income tax, erty tax, cost to maintain a mansion type home with landscapers, housekeepers and cook, property tax, insurance and mortgage. So many can't afford their own home when playing days end, are heavily mortgaged, and sometimes are under water when it's time to sell. They end up having to live a very modest lifestyle once their playing days end.

Hope he's smarter than that.
