Is it me ????

There is a womens game today at 6;00pm and a mens game at 9:00pm . If you have a ticket for the mens game it cannot be used until the womens game is over . This is the same thing that took place last year when both team played games . Many fans who thought they would watch some of the womens game had to wait in the main lobby until the womens game was over . Here is the aggravating part to this . No effort was made to have the fans from the womens game exit the arena at the end of the womens game so they were allowed to see both games for the price pof a womens ticket . Does this make any sense ??? Why not let the mens ticket holders in so they can cheer for the womens team .

If I remember correctly, they tried to get everyone to leave. I had moved across the court and was sitting down in my correct seats and they still made me move. Yes we didn’t have to actually go outside, we just stood up at the street level where the ushers usually stand. They kept us there for 10 minutes and then allowed us into our lower level seats.

I don’t know what the right answer is, but I agree that it’s not an ideal situation. I think part of it is due to the fact that the women’s tickets are GA.

I think the biggest part of it is they are afraid that most of the season ticket holders will be at the Sly Fox until 8:30 and the seats around the court will be empty if they treated it like a true doubleheader.

Because everything St J Does is arse backwards and this is coming from a donating alum!

if a few people send a note to monasch or colleary...it's very possible this won't be a problem next season.

He still wields some power.

Colleary is no longer in the same position as heading up atheltic development

They changed it this year. Tonight at the conclusion of the women’s game, they announced that fans were welcome to stay and watch the men’s game, but they asked that you move to the upper sections. Nicely done, St Johns!

Now, if we can just get Campus Security/Public Safety to override the toll booth type arms at the parking lot gates, then we can exit the parking lot in a much more orderly fashion.

Also got caught up in delays caused by malfunctioning parking lot gates.

Not surprised. At St. John's few get fired, they just fade into less prominent positions. It kind of gives you an idea how NR was regarded in the final analysis.

A couple of posters mentioned contacting AD Chris Monasch. Has anyone actually heard from him on previous concerns / ideas raised and were any actions taken? Just curious...

Personally, I could careless about seeing the women's team play. I prefer to read about them in the paper but I have no interest in going to the game.

If season ticket holders did go to the game early it was probably a mistake on their part, if they looked at their ticket the game time was 9PM, not 6PM.

The fact that they let people stay in the arena after the women's game is a good idea. I was expecting a weak crowd considering the circumstances of the game (most students not on campus, late game and the non-stop rain), but I was pretty surprised how crowded it was.

He responds. I sent him an email the other day defending the student section and Jhansonbro and he sent me an email back thanking me for my thoughts on the matter and that we'd talk at the kentucky game.

It was a long email that I sent and in the middle of it I had mentioned that my girlfriend and I were looking forward to going to the kentucky game and the pre game reception so he had to have read the entire email if he was going to know that part.

Whether they don't crack down on the student section I have no idea but he definitely does read and respond to emails at least

My guess is that he responds now that Nom isn't here any more. Those were bad times with lots of unhappy fans. Nim not sure monash is the guy who wanted to keep Norm around as long as we did. Under Lavin, he's a bit more free to escape any hate mail and deal with rel concerns.

Just please don't email him with spelling like that ;)

Lol... It's not the iPad's fault. It's my fat fingers and the fact that I don't proof read before I post most of the time. Just wait til I start using Siri on my iPhone to post... Then it will really be interesting. Btw, the iPad is the best piece of electronics I have ever purchased. Love it.  Oh and btw....iPad posts after drinking are even worse... ;)

Nathalie just got the new iPhone with that Siri voice thing. It's pretty interesting. Although I'm still going to refuse to get a phone with internet. Texting is enough for me or else I'll get into a car accident reading redmen.com on a phone while driving
