Par for the course in New Roc. Part of Cluess' success - and I think he is an excellent coach - is bringing in kids with baggage and taking the associated risks. It is why they've been a nice mid major recently; they recruit high major talent (or strong mid major talent) that couldn't hack it at bigger conference schools or that bigger conference schools were willing to part ways with (or wouldn't touch). No idea if this kid falls into that category or not but an ugly incident.

If the coach initiated the altercation, then I agree with Griffin. Would any man let another man throw him down, I know I wouldn't. Coach or anyone else.

Yeah...a 6'6"/220 ground and pound will get ya a week in the hospital. Coaches need to realize they just refer to them as "kids", most are actually men already, if not mentally definitely physically. Probably not wise to throw down with them.
