Was a time in 2011 that we heard about how SJ's was an international academic destination (with the Paris location and all).
Coach went on upon his hiring that he was "recruiting across the world."
Fast forward four years later, and I haven't seen any prominent recruits plucked from anywhere in the world, never mind Europe. Meanwhile, the Terps have snagged Alex Len, and now today, a promising 7 footer Michal Cevosky, who if anything provides depth backing up promising 7 footer Trayvon Reed.
Considering the fact that SJ's has been lacking a true big the past 4 years of coach's tenure, isn't about time to make that big international splash that was bandied about? How is it Leonard Hamilton, GTIII, the Terps and others keep snagging these solid international bigs who at worst give good minutes to their team?
I'm not the one bringing this up out of nowhere - it is a fact it was brought up right from the beginning.
