Unfortunately there's also the "Samson factor" and whether CO and/or Sheed want to remain in school. On the flip side if they stay this will be their team and they'll really have a chance to shine and raise their stock.

If CO stayed another year, worked on his game, and went heavy in the weight room, I think he would have a legitimate shot of being drafted in the mid-first round. He would then also have a shot at sticking on the roster (so many get sent to D-League, even after being drafted).

As for Jordan, I am afraid his off-court maturity is currently a major red flag for NBA GMs. They are heavily judged by their draft picks and he represents high risk. He, too, should stay another year.

Great stat gman. And I'm sure that 1.2% is not telling in terms of % that really have sustainable career and make money for life.

To your point monte, the way things have gone for Sampson - while l'm so, so incredibly happy for him - probably could not be much worse for others in our program with similar aspirations. You look at how much legitimate debate their was about Harkless's decision, a player that just missed the lottery, in Sampson you have a guy that was given almost no chance, went undrafted, and is making more than $500K this year. There are plenty of circumstances that likely made his situation unique and low probability, but not sure that will be the main takeaway for others.

Anyone familiar with Jakarr knows that he had attributes Obekpa does not have at 6'9. He runs the floor like a gazelle, can handle in transition and jumps through the roof while having a semblance of an offense while playing as a forward. Chris has none of those attributes this year. Doubt he has them next year. He is an undersized 5 who could play many years in Europe. He will be a 5 minute bench player in the NBA. Good for practice but not prime time. Rysheed needs to improve his handle, defense and outside shooting. One more year would likely give him the time to develop those skills while moving him into an early 2nd round pick capable of making an NBA bench player. The problem with both lies between the ears. Players like them would be 4 year players at Duke or North Carolina but WE ARE....

Kids and their handlers see what they want to see. I am not suggesting that either should go, I'm just saying that I'm sure they'll look at Jakarr landing on a roster in spite of the odds, and it could be a factor in their decision.

Agree 1000%. Was trying to make same point.

As I said in my prior post, not comparing NBA skill sets or debating whether or not CO or Sheed are as ready as Jakarr was. Clearly they would both be wise to stick around another year. But not sure I follow you on CO. Are you saying that regardless of whether he stays another year or not that he's likely Europe bound?
