Interesting Season Ticket Package Proposal

Having bought tickets to a St. John's - Seton Hall game at the Rock last year, I am now on their mailing list. I just received an email from them announcing a new season ticket incentive policy for next year. Basically they are offering fans who place a $250.00 non-refundable deposit by Monday, April 30 a 5% discount off the regular 2012-13 season ticket price. Their regular season ticket prices will be as follows:
Adult - $525 (plus per seat Pirate Blue contribution) - $499 with 5% discount
Alumni - $473 (plus per seat Pirate Blue contribution) - $449 with 5% discount
Faculty/Staff/Administrator - $262 - $249 with 5% discount
Parents of Current Students - $262 - $249 with 5% discount
Young Alumni - $184 (plus $15 per seat Pirate Blue contribution) - $175 with 5% discount
In addition, a special offer will be made available to first-time season ticket holders at a discounted price of $150.

Just wondering if anyone knows whether St. John's has any type of discount similar to this? It would seem to make sense, especially the Young Alumni package so we can try and get back some of our fans who may have stopped attending during the Roberts years and are still waiting for Lavin's teams to take off.

Sounds like a smart approach

Since first post says it seems to make sense and second post calls it a smart idea I will venture a guess that St J's has not considered a similar plan.
