Interesting possibilities for HS grads

With the amazing number of transfers and grad transfers taking place, what are the possibilities of the following scenario becoming popular ? Students will somehow push to red shirt for one year of their eligibility ( for whatever reason ) play for three years at their school , get their undergraduate degree and then look to transfer to a major powerhouse for their last year of eligibility?

Think you're right and that this scenario is already becoming more popular, and the redshirt nuance isn't even needed in a lot of instances. With all the extra time a lot of athletes spend on campus over the summer and any other interim periods (some schools have January credits for example, so especially applicable for winter teams) a lot of them graduate in 3 years anyway. "5th year" gets thrown around a lot because it's the natural progression, but reality is a lot of kids are eligible to use their grad transfer after what would otherwise be a traditional junior year.

But then they wouldn't be able to transfer twice like the current kids so I doubt it. The NCAA should say you get one transfer and that's it. Either you transfer once during undergrad or if you miss a season you get to transfer after grad school (which is what it was intended for).
