Interesting Mention of St. John's

 On the Scott van pelt and Russillo radio show SVP asked his partner "what's the title in sports that you today would be most emotionally invested in and enjoy the most." His reply, "St. John Red Storm. No question."

Went on to say that although he went to Vermont when he was a kid he had an attachment to St. John's. Although we've had some lean years he said he's rooted for us every year and Lavin is his guy. Nice to see us mentioned in that light

It's true. Better than most. They spend a little too much time on national stuff, like Heat and Packers. That gets old after awhile. But they're pretty good.


The other radio show I listen to (usually on the computer at work), is Tim Brando. Good source for college football talk (and basketball closer to February/March). It's also simulcast on cbssports network.

I've seen my 3 favorite pro teams win the championship in their respective sports, New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, & the New York (soon to be Brooklyn) Islanders. The one that I have been waiting for decades is the St. John's Red Storm. When they finally did win a NCAA championship, it turned out to be soccer! If they can win it all one day, I'll die a happy man! 
 
 They will still be called the NY Islanders with the same logo. Not Brooklyn or Coney Islanders.
