In Season Tidbits

We’ll see how the program fares over next several years, but at stage one I appreciate this group to date. Focused, great work ethic, defined roles and seem to know how to get SJU back on track.

And I've heard that they . . . wait for it . . . all get along and like each other!

One thing I noticed. And granted it was on tv so I couldn’t see every sub. But when a kid was subbed out he high fived every coach and player go from the front of the bench to the end and grabbing a water bottle and towel. Little things like that I know are much different

Staff chemistry is a big thing. They have to be able to work together and have their roles as Paultz stated. It’s a shock to us all because we come from a long line of dysfunctional staffs. It’s nice to see a group of coaches working together. I’m positive it will pay dividends. It was smart of Anderson to take his time and fill the staff with guys that fit correctly with he and the others. I have a good feeling about these guys.

Arrived early today and saw Mrs. A show up. She made it a point to hug each player she passed...the family culture is no BS

And Mrs.A is really into the game. During the game she yells box out during free throws by the opposition. Knows the game.

Our guy Panther, we’ll deserved man! Looking dapper Sterling!

Didn’t notice that but that’s a great observation!

Was done in Mullin years, too. All the way down the bench, down to the priest. We sit opposite bench at CA

I’ll take your word for it. I do know one player who didn’t. But I’ll leave it alone

Come on, Moose. You can't tease us like that.

Really nice to see Justin hit several spot up 3s to get those 21 points. If he can hit that shot consistently there is a spot for him in the NBA.
Justin's shot looks more fluid. Makes you wonder if they even addressed his shooting while he was here.
It would be criminal if a staff that included Mullin and Richmond didn't work with him. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but maybe that poster who catches up with former players for his web site can ask him.
