Horrifying. Senseless. Before I was TXRedman I was CTRedman and lived in Sandy Hook for a while. Probably the last place you think of such a tragedy happening. Quiet place where neighbors are friendly and helpful. May God take care of those little kids and their families.
 
Great suggestion. As a parent of elementary school kids, I cannot immagine what those poor families are going through.

I've been in Sandy Hook several times and it is a quiet and peaceful town that is the last place on earth you would expect something like this to happen.

I can't bear to listen to any more accounts of this indefensible massacre of innocents.

What I am doing is praying for their friends and relatives..

Their lives will never be the same.
 
It's hard to comprehend. I lived in the next town over from Newtown for about 10 years growing up with my parents, it's one of the last places you'd expect this ever to happen. My condolences to the families, can't imagine what they will have to go through.
 
As the President said, "They had their whole lives in front of them". Now their parents have to look at an empty bedroom, and come to the reality that when their children left for school yesterday, they had no idea that would be the last time that they would see them alive. Who can even imagine the pain and suffering that they are going through? God, take special care of those 20 innocent precious souls.
 
There is no doubt in my mind that those souls are being well taken care of, it's the living that concerns me.

This is my second Christmas with my daughter, my only child (so far, hopefully), and I couldn't imagine going through this and then having to come home to a house filled with Christmas presents that will never be given, a bedroom I wouldn't be able to look at. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.
 
I promise you I won't say another word about this topic after this and don't want to draw the ire of the mods, but...where was god during all this? Just curious to see your answers because if one exists he stood idly by while 6 year olds were gutted by bullets that go through concrete.
 
all of us in this crazy world are given "free will" to do both good and bad. The question that you ask befuddles every theologian when it is presented.to them. My explanation is the response that is generally given. I guess we will find out when we enter the next world! This is a fair question Joe that should not draw the ire of our readers.
